«Drums and Wires» is the album by XTC, released in 1979 and reissued on CD in 1988 by Virgin Records.
This album by XTC shows the band's transition from pop rock towards new wave and post-punk, a change that moved XTC away from their earlier sound. It includes «Making Plans for Nigel» and «Life Begins at the Hop», two tracks from this period.
The CD reissue carries catalogue number CDV2129 and was released in Europe by Virgin Records within the Compact Price series.
For XTC collectors and for those approaching the band for the first time.
