«Dark Star» is the album by Deine Lakaien, released in 1991 on CD.
The album moves between synth-pop and darkwave, with a dark, atmospheric electronic sound but a danceable pulse. The deep, expressive vocals are the center of the songs, almost all sung in English despite the group's German name. The cover, with two grainy black-and-white faces, sums up that unsettling atmosphere.
The CD edition, released in Germany in 1991, consists of one disc and bears the catalog number GYM 601.
For fans of the 90s darkwave and synth-pop scene and for Deine Lakaien collectors.
