«Dan Bern» is the self-titled album by Dan Bern, released in 1997 by Sony Legacy, on CD.
The record collects singer-songwriter folk-rock with songs of agile and ironic lyrics, close to the Bob Dylan tradition. The arrangements, with simple production, are built around acoustic guitar and voice, with a direct tone that moves between the personal and the political. Standout tracks include «Tiger», «Marilyn» and «Jerusalem».
For listeners of contemporary folk, alternative rock, and singer-songwriters with a preference for narrative lyrics.
