Crucial Dub is an essential compilation by the legendary Jamaican producer King Tubby, a pioneer of the dub genre. This album highlights his innovative remixing technique, where he transforms rocksteady and reggae tracks by removing vocals and applying echo and reverb effects. Featuring collaborations with renowned musicians such as Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Sly Dunbar, Robbie Shakespeare, Earl 'Chinna' Smith, Augustus Pablo, and Aston 'Family Man' Barrett, this work captures the creative essence of Jamaican music from the 70s and 80s, cementing Tubby's legacy as a master of sound.
