«Concerto for Orchestra / Daphnis & Chloé: Suite 2» is the classical music album by Bartók and Ravel, released in 1997 by Chandos on CD.
The programme combines two orchestral works from the classical repertoire: Bartók's Concerto for Orchestra and Ravel's Suite No. 2 from Daphnis et Chloé. They are two different approaches to the orchestra: one with dense writing and marked rhythms, and the other with a suggestive atmosphere and brilliant instrumental colour.
Recording by the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Jiří Bělohlávek, released by Chandos on a 1-disc CD on 21 January 1997.
For classical music enthusiasts, especially the orchestral repertoire of Bartók and Ravel.
