«Concert for Violins» is the album by Beethoven, released in 1995 by ZYX Music, on CD.
The CD brings together two works by Beethoven: the Violin Concerto in D major, a central piece of the violin repertoire, and the Spring Sonata in F major, for violin and piano. The concerto alternates energetic orchestral passages with lyrical ones; the sonata, of chamber character, presents a dialogue between both instruments.
Performances by Alexander Parnowski (violin) with the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Francis Macal.
For classical music fans who want a Beethoven edition with two outstanding works from his repertoire.
