«Complete String Quartets Vol. 4» is the album by Franz Schubert with the Kodály Quartet, released in 2002 by Naxos Deutschland GmbH on CD.
The CD brings together Schubert's string quartets No. 1, No. 4 and No. 8, youthful works influenced by Haydn and Mozart with glimpses of the composer's later style. The Kodály Quartet performs them with lyricism; among the movements are «Allegro ma non troppo» and «Andante sostenuto».
Recorded at the Unitarian Church in Budapest in December 2000. Naxos catalogue number: 8.555921.
For listeners interested in Romantic chamber music and Schubert's early quartets.
