«Colors» is the album by David Liebman, released in 2003 on the Hatology label on CD.
On «Colors», David Liebman plays solo on tenor saxophone in a record of free jazz and free improvisation. The twelve pieces are divided into six colours —red, black, white, grey, blue and yellow—, each with two tracks; titles such as «Red 1» or «Yellow 2» reflect that structure.
The recording of «Colors» took place at the Banff Centre (Canada) in the summer of 1998, with mastering by Peter Pfister; the cover photograph is by Louise Murray (Digital Vision).
A suitable listen for fans of avant-garde jazz interested in David Liebman's solo improvisation.
