«Cirque Ingenieux» is the album by Kitaro, released in 1997 by Domo Records on CD.
The album moves circus imagery into an instrumental territory where ambient electronics, modern classical and new age intertwine. The cover, with acrobats and tightrope walkers, sums up the spirit of the record; among its tracks are «Sarah's World», «Solar System Trapeze» and «The Escape».
The CD edition contains 15 tracks, with «Cirque Ingenieux» as the opening and «Double Lira / Finale» as the closing.
For listeners of Kitaro, new age and the ambient electronics of the nineties, with a style close to a film score.
