«Chant grégorien: Noël (Messe de minuit - Messe du jour)» is the album by the Choir of the Monks of the Abbey of Saint-Pierre de Solesmes, on CD.
The album brings together a selection of Gregorian chants for Christmas, performed by the choir of the Abbey of Saint-Pierre de Solesmes and conducted by Dom Joseph Gajard. The recording includes the Midnight Mass and the Mass of the Day, two liturgical celebrations in Latin that show the sobriety and recollection of the medieval repertoire.
Recorded in Latin and released by the Accord label in 1985, conducted by Dom Joseph Gajard.
For listeners of sacred music and Gregorian chant, and for those seeking liturgical recordings with monastic voices.
