«Chanchaneando: Roots of Buena Vista» is the album by Eliades Ochoa, Cuarteto Patria and Compay Segundo, released by EGREM on CD in 2000.
The record revives ten tracks of son cubano, bolero and guaracha, and its subtitle alludes to the first version of «Chan Chan», a song by Francisco Repilado. It also includes «El cuarto de Tula», «Yo soy de Monte Compay» and «A la casa de la trova», recordings made in Santiago de Cuba.
The recording was made in 1989 at Estudios Siboney in Santiago de Cuba and was produced by José J. Padilla Sánchez. This CD edition carries catalogue number CD 0293.
