«Celebrity Skin» is the studio album by the alternative rock band Hole, released in 1998 by Geffen Records on CD.
Celebrity Skin is Hole's third studio album and the first recorded without bassist Kristen Pfaff, who died in 1994; the band sounds more melodic and closer to pop rock than on previous releases, with songs such as «Celebrity Skin», «Malibu» and «Awful».
Celebrity Skin was released on 8 September 1998, produced by Michael Beinhorn; it reached number 9 on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA.
For listeners of alternative rock, pop rock and 1990s grunge, and for those interested in Hole's more melodic phase.
