«Cançons» is the album by Maria Lluïsa Muntada and Josep Surinyac featuring songs by Eduard Toldrà, released on CD by La Mà de Guido in 2000.
The album brings together 24 lyrical songs by Eduard Toldrà for soprano and piano, set to poems on varied themes ranging from love to nature. These are pieces of great refinement and expressiveness, performed with notable sensitivity. It includes two standout titles from the Catalan repertoire: 'Maig' and 'Canticel'.
Recorded in 1999 at the Auditori Municipal Enric Granados in Lleida. The CD consists of a single disc and the songs are sung in Catalan.
For those approaching Catalan art song, it is a reference title in the lyrical piano repertoire.
