«Calle 54» is the original soundtrack of Fernando Trueba's documentary, a compilation of various artists released in 2001 by EMI as a double CD.
The album features the Latin jazz of the documentary: Afro-Cuban rhythms, bossa nova, rumba, tango, guaguancó and flamenco, with tracks by Tito Puente, Paquito D'Rivera, Bebo and Chucho Valdés, Chano Domínguez and Eliane Elias, among others. Tracks on the album include 'Afro-Cuban Jazz Suite', 'Lágrimas negras' and 'Earth Dance'.
The album brings together 16 tracks on two discs; the second adds four bonus tracks. Spanish edition.
