«Caballo Dorado» is the self-titled album by the Mexican country band Caballo Dorado, released in 1997 by Metro Casa Musical on CD.
The album brings together country, country rock and Texan polka, with some ballads. Standouts include «Payaso de Rodeo» and «Vaquera Sexy», two of its hits, along with «Mamá». The Spanish-language lyrics alternate between country rock, polkas and ballads, with a sound close to Texan country.
A good part of the songs are compositions by Eduardo and Gerardo Gameros. Recorded at Digital Sierra Vista (Monterrey, Mexico); engineer Gustavo A. Miranda, mastering by René Cortez.
