On «Break Through in Grey Room», Burroughs's spoken word moves into experimental territory, with tape collages and cut-up techniques over abstract textures. It includes pieces such as «Recalling All Active Agents», «Joujouka» and «Working with the Popular Forces», representative of Burroughs's abstract and fragmentary side.
