«Boccherini: Violin Sonatas» is the album by Luigi Boccherini, on CD, with his sonatas for harpsichord and obbligato violin performed by Jacques Ogg and Emilio Moreno.
The CD brings together the six Op. 5 sonatas that Luigi Boccherini composed in Paris in 1769 for harpsichord and obbligato violin. These are chamber pieces in a pre-Classical style where the keyboard retains the leading role and the violin dialogues with it; the movements «Allegro con moto», «Tempo di minueto» and «Rondeau» stand out.
Recorded in September 2000 in La Rioja, it corresponds to reference GCD 920306 and has a total duration of 36:48, spread over a single CD.
For listeners interested in eighteenth-century chamber music and in the repertoire for keyboard and violin.
