«Blk Sonshine» is the self-titled debut album by the duo Blk Sonshine, released in 1998 by Fresh Music on CD.
The duo Blk Sonshine's repertoire moves between soul and neo soul, with nods to hip hop and folk, in a fusion that combines urban and acoustic textures. The cover illustration, a collage with two guitarists in front of a brick wall and fragments of sheet music, reinforces that blend of styles.
This CD edition, released in South Africa, carries the reference Fresh CD105 and includes 12 tracks.
For neo soul and R&B listeners looking for fusion sounds with hip hop and folk from the late nineties.
