«Black to the Future» is the African jazz album by Hugh Masekela, on CD, released in 1997 by Sony Jazz.
The album combines jazz with traditional and world music, with a sound of clear African roots. The trumpet, in the hands of Masekela himself, occupies a central place in a repertoire that moves between folklore, song and improvisation, within the world music current that the artist cultivated in the late nineties.
The CD is a single-disc edition, published in Austria, with catalogue number COL 489477 2.
A work for those who enjoy African jazz, the trumpet as protagonist and the fusion with traditional and world music.
