This double CD brings together four symphonies: Beethoven's No. 7 and No. 8, along with Schumann's No. 1 «Spring» and No. 3 «Rhenish». The selection traces the transition from classicism to romanticism and offers a representative sample of both composers' symphonic repertoire.
