«Bags & Trane» is the jazz album by Milt Jackson and John Coltrane, released on CD in 1988 by Atlantic Jazz.
Dialogue between Milt Jackson's vibraphone and John Coltrane's tenor sax in hard bop: the repertoire alternates the laid-back blues of «The Late Late Blues» with the energy of «Be-Bop», and leaves room for the ballad «The Night We Called It a Day».
The original album is from 1960; this 1988 edition adds three bonus tracks. The lineup is completed by Hank Jones on piano, Paul Chambers on double bass and Connie Kay on drums.
For jazz fans and collectors of recordings by John Coltrane and Milt Jackson.
