«Bacán» is the Latin jazz album by Bacan, released in 1994 by Challenge Jazz on CD.
The group Bacan presents on this self-titled album a fusion of bossa nova, samba and Latin jazz. The pieces combine Brazilian rhythms with jazz harmonies and Latin music accents, in a record that alternates relaxed passages and livelier ones, with the ensemble in the spotlight and a danceable feel in the more rhythmic tracks.
The edition is from the Netherlands, consists of a single disc and carries the catalogue number WORLD CHR 70006.
For fans of the fusion of Brazilian rhythms and jazz and of record releases from the nineties.
