«Área Reservada 3» is a various artists compilation, released in 2004 by Universal Music Spain S.L., on CD.
The compilation is born as a reflection of the Radio 3 programme Área Reservada and brings together contemporary jazz in a broad sense: jazz-funk, acid jazz, fusion and Latin jazz, with influences from soul, blues, pop, rock, world music and electronics. More than a closed style, it presents jazz as a permeable and evolving music, suitable for new audiences.
Spanish edition on CD with one disc, released on the Verve Records label and with a duration of 67 minutes.
It is aimed at those who follow Área Reservada and at listeners curious about contemporary jazz and its intersections with other genres.
