«Aqualung» is the studio album by Jethro Tull, released in 1971 by Chrysalis on CD.
Considered a classic of progressive rock, Aqualung combines hard guitars, folk airs and Ian Anderson's flute. Jethro Tull's lyrics portray religious hypocrisy and social marginalisation in songs such as «My God», «Hymn 43» and «Locomotive Breath», essential pieces of their repertoire.
Album originally released in 1971; this CD edition is a single-disc reissue that came out in 1989.
A reference title for fans of progressive rock and 1970s hard rock.
