«Ancha es Castilla» is the Castilian folk album by the group Candeal, released by Trading (Several Records) on CD.
The duo Félix Pérez and Toño Ortega recreates traditional Castilian sounds and blends them with Berber echoes and percussion. Tracks such as «Lolina», «Jota de Medina» or «Romance de la loba parda» exude sobriety and lyricism, reflecting the region's landscapes and its cultural diversity.
It contains 18 songs, and the musicians Alfonso Gato, Nico Falagán, Carlos Gómez and Alejandro Berdote take part in the recording.
Aimed at fans of folk music and Castilian roots seeking proposals far from today's pop.
