The album brings together six double concertos by the Baroque composer, with Isaac Stern on violin and Jean-Pierre Rampal on flute as soloists, accompanied by the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra conducted by János Rolla. The works, written for flute, violin, strings and harpsichord, include pieces such as the Concerto in G minor RV 517 and the Concerto in C minor RV 509, representative of Vivaldi's concertante style.
Digital DDD recording from 1989, produced by Georges Kader and released under the Columbia label within the Artist Laureate series. The CD has a single disc and a total duration of 59 minutes and 59 seconds.
Recommended for fans of Baroque music and admirers of Vivaldi, as well as for collectors of historical performances with prominent soloists.
