«26 Preludes-4 Impromptus» is Claudio Arrau's compilation of piano works by Chopin, released in 1990 by Philips on CD.
The CD brings together Chopin's 26 preludes and 4 impromptus performed on piano by Claudio Arrau. These are Romantic pieces combining expressive melody, virtuosic passages, and contrasts of atmosphere; the impromptus add a more improvisatory and brilliant air.
European single-disc edition, released in Philips' Silver Line Classics series with digital remastering.
Will appeal to fans of Romantic music and Claudio Arrau's piano interpretations.
