In X-Men: Dark Phoenix, the X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. When she returns home, this force has not only made her infinitely more powerful, but also much more unstable. Jean unleashes her powers in ways she cannot control or comprehend, spiraling out of control and hurting those she loves most. The X-Men must find a way to reunite to save Jean's soul and protect the planet from aliens who want to use her strength as a weapon to conquer the galaxy.
