Drama based on real events. In 1973 Cambodia, after the American withdrawal, New York Times journalist Sidney Schanberg and his interpreter Dith Pran witness the Khmer Rouge imposing a regime of extreme cruelty. The story focuses on the relationship between the two men and on Pran's struggle for survival.
