In 1997, in Rio de Janeiro, Captain Nascimento of the BOPE (Special Police Operations Battalion) is tired of the corruption and violence in his unit. Looking for a successor to leave the body, Nascimento trains two honest recruits, Neto and Matias, to replace him. Together, they will face dangerous missions in the favelas, where the police do not dare to enter.
