The Road to Guantanamo is a compelling docudrama that tells the true story of the 'Tipton Three', four British men who traveled to Pakistan in 2001 and were subsequently captured and held at Guantanamo Bay for over two years. Through a blend of interviews, archival footage, and dramatic reenactments, directors Michael Winterbottom and Mat Whitecross explore the harsh detention conditions and the ordeal faced by these men in the context of the 'war on terror'.
Winner of the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, this film provides a critical and necessary look at human rights and the consequences of international conflicts, offering a raw and human perspective on the geopolitical events of the early 21st century.
