«The Producers» is the 2005 film by Susan Stroman, starring Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick and Uma Thurman, on DVD.
A veteran Broadway producer, down on his luck, and his timid accountant plot a fraud: to produce the worst possible musical, trusting that total failure will bring them money. The film parodies the theatre business with musical numbers, witty dialogue and satire taken to the extreme.
Film adapted from the Broadway musical of the same name; the DVD, released on 25 December 2005, has English audio.
For those seeking a satirical musical comedy and who enjoy humour about the world of theatre.
