Veteran Jack Starks returns to his native Vermont with amnesia; accused of a murder he doesn't remember, he is confined to a psychiatric hospital. There, a doctor applies an experimental treatment that triggers visions of the future: Jack sees himself dead within days, and perhaps a woman he meets in that time could change his fate.
