Synopsis of The Isle
The Isle (Seom) es un perturbador drama de horror psicológico coreano dirigido por Kim Ki-duk. La historia se desarrolla en un remoto lago de Corea del Sur, donde Hee-jin, una joven enigmática y muda, regenta una tienda de cebos para pescadores que viven en balsas flotantes. Por la noche, Hee-jin se prostituye a los pescadores, pero su vida cambia drásticamente cuando conoce a Hyun-shik, un hombre solitario con tendencias suicidas. Tras rescatar a Hyun-shik de un intento de suicidio extremo, se establece entre ellos una relación intensa, obsesiva y violenta.
