Detective Breslin (Dennis Quaid) investigates a series of seemingly random murders in New York City. He soon discovers a disturbing link between the homicides and the legend of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. By correctly interpreting the clues left at the crime scene, Breslin is convinced that he can anticipate the killer's moves. Little by little, he realizes that the common denominator of all the suspects is a terrifying element that directly affects him.
