«Tadellöser & Wolff» is the television film by Eberhard Fechner (1975), starring Edda Seippel and Karl Lieffen, on DVD.
The film, an adaptation of Walter Kempowski's novel of the same name, follows the Kempowski family from their move to Rostock in 1938 to the end of the Second World War. The comfortable bourgeois life of the young Walter and Robert, between jazz and sailing boats, falls apart with the arrival of war: conscription, the bombing of Rostock in 1942 and increasing mobilisation.
