«Tabú» is the film by Miguel Gomes (2012) on double DVD, released by Intermedio with nearly all of his short films.
Tabú revives traditions such as silent cinema, the musical and the ethnographic documentary, and transforms them with fantasy and humour; the film contrasts childhood and its cruel games with maturity and broken dreams. The edition also brings together nearly all of Miguel Gomes's short films and a fifty-minute interview with Miguel Gomes.
2-disc edition: 253 min, 1.66:1, Dolby Digital. Original Portuguese, dubbing and Spanish subtitles. The near-complete shorts exclude Entretanto (1999) due to music rights.
For those interested in contemporary auteur cinema and Miguel Gomes's short films.
