«Sequía, El Final de los Mayas» is a DVD documentary on the theory that a devastating drought contributed to the collapse of the Mayan civilization.
The documentary starts from the hypothesis that a prolonged drought was one of the factors that precipitated the end of the Mayan civilization. Based on historical and scientific research, it examines how climate change could have affected Mayan society, its resources, and its organization, and reflects on the vulnerability of civilizations to extreme environmental phenomena.
For those interested in the history of pre-Columbian civilizations and in science documentaries on climate and society.
