«¿Qué he hecho yo para merecer esto?» is the film by Pedro Almodóvar (1984), starring Carmen Maura, Verónica Forqué and Chus Lampreave, on DVD.
Gloria is a housewife on the verge of collapse who ekes out a living in a small flat in Madrid with her taxi-driver husband, her two teenage sons, an eccentric mother-in-law and a lizard. Addicted to amphetamines and exhausted by her work as a cleaner, the film portrays with irony the everyday life of working-class neighbourhoods in the 1980s.
Edition from the Un País de Cine 2 collection: one disc, PAL, region 2 and original Spanish audio. Rating: not recommended for under-13s.
