«Pulp Fiction» is the film by Quentin Tarantino (1994), starring John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman, on DVD.
Set in the Los Angeles underworld, Pulp Fiction interweaves the stories of two hitmen, a boxer, a gangster's wife and a couple of robbers; sharp dialogue, black humour, stylised violence and a mysterious black briefcase sustain the narrative, which does not follow a chronological order.
DVD edition from BAC Films, 145 minutes, Dolby Digital 5.1 in English and French, French subtitles, 2.35:1 format and region 2. Pulp Fiction was awarded the Palme d'Or at Cannes 1994.
For admirers of Quentin Tarantino's cinema and 1990s crime thrillers.
