«Porridge: Series One» is the British comedy series directed by Sydney Lotterby, starring Ronnie Barker, Richard Beckinsale and Fulton Mackay, released by 2entertain on DVD.
Comprising the six episodes of the first season, it follows Fletcher, a cunning prisoner serving time for robbery, and his cellmate Godber, a young first-time offender. A protective paternal relationship develops between them, as Fletcher tries to make prison life more bearable by outwitting the strict officer MacKay and manipulating the naive Mr Barrowclough. The edition includes interviews with the cast and access to scenes.
