Based on the autobiography of Ron Kovic, 'Born on the Fourth of July' tells the story of a young man who, driven by patriotism, voluntarily enlists to fight in the Vietnam War. However, his idealistic vision crumbles upon returning home as a disabled war veteran, confined to a wheelchair and receiving poor medical care. The film explores his transformation and disillusionment with the reality of war and its consequences.
