Synopsis of My Father, My Lord

«My Father, My Lord» is the film by David Volach (2007), starring Assi Dayan, Sharon Hacohen and Bar Eilan, on DVD.

Set in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community in Jerusalem, the film follows a rabbi devoted to the study of the Torah and his young son, who discovers the world with curiosity. During a holiday by the Dead Sea, the father tries to pass on his strict faith, and an unexpected event will test his convictions and their relationship.

Israeli film (original title «Hofshat Kaits»), winner of the Grand Prize at Tribeca 2007. Distributed by Karma Films S.L.: DVD region 2, with audio in Hebrew and Spanish and subtitles in German.
