«Mi general» is the Spanish film by Jaime de Armiñán (1987), starring Fernando Rey, Fernando Fernán Gómez and Héctor Alterio, on DVD.
Several veteran generals receive orders to take part in a secret course to update themselves on new technologies and their military use. The instructors are five young captains, and the gap in age and rank causes constant friction. Little by little, military discipline crumbles and the high command ends up behaving like children.
The film won the Grand Prix of the Jury at the Montreal Festival in 1987. This DVD edition includes audio tracks in Spanish: Dolby Digital 5.1 and mono, in PAL multi-region format.
