«Mein Führer» is the film by Dani Levy (2007), starring Helge Schneider, Ulrich Mühe and Sylvester Groth, on DVD.
Satire set in Berlin in 1944, when Joseph Goebbels, minister of propaganda, turns to a Jewish acting teacher held in a concentration camp to re-teach a dejected and broken Hitler how to deliver the speech that will restore the nation's morale. The film ridicules the dictator and dismantles the solemnity of the Nazi regime with provocative humour.
The DVD edition (region 2) includes audio in German, Spanish and Catalan (Dolby Digital 5.1), subtitles in Spanish and Catalan, and a running time of 84 minutes.
For an audience that appreciates historical satire and provocative European cinema.
