Synopsis of Max

«Max» is the film directed by Menno Meyjes, starring John Cusack, Noah Taylor and Leelee Sobieski, on DVD.

Set in Germany in 1918, the film follows Max Rothman, a Jewish art dealer, and his friendship with a young Adolf Hitler. Through that relationship, the story explores the links between art, politics and power, and how personal decisions can end up having historical consequences.
