«Los Energéticos» is the film by Mariano Ozores (1979), starring Fernando Esteso, Andrés Pajares and Antonio Ozores, on DVD.
Two rustic Castilians discover that a nuclear power station will be built on their land. Fearing for their lives and their goats, they protest unsuccessfully to the mayor. A representative of oil-exporting countries spreads their protest, unleashing conflicting interests among OPEC, the CIA, multinationals and the town's leading figures, in a comic vein.
DVD edition from Manga Films, in the Pajares/Esteso/Ozores collection, with 1 disc, 88 minutes of footage and audio in Spanish (mono). Not recommended for under-18s.
