Based on the popular book series by Lemony Snicket, this film follows the three Baudelaire orphans—Violet, Klaus, and Sunny—who, after losing their parents in a mysterious fire, are placed under the guardianship of the villainous Count Olaf. Obsessed with stealing the children's vast inheritance, Olaf subjects them to a series of unfortunate events while they struggle to uncover the truth about their parents' death. Directed by Brad Silberling and starring Jim Carrey, this film blends fantasy, dark humor, and family drama with a visually striking aesthetic.
