François Pignon, a model accountant at a condom factory, leads an unhappy life: his wife has left him, his son ignores him, and his HR manager is about to fire him. To solve his problems, a neighbor advises him to pretend he is gay so that the company, in a display of "political correctness," will not dare to fire him. Thus begins a series of endless adventures and funny misunderstandings for Pignon with unpredictable outcomes.
