Set in 1916 during World War I, the film follows a group of young soldiers in the 48 hours leading up to the Battle of the Somme. Motivated by propaganda, these teenagers face the harsh reality of war, exploring their fears, dreams, and the intense emotional toll of life in the trenches. Directed by William Boyd, it is a poignant war drama that focuses on the human experience rather than the spectacle of combat.
